Haight-Brown Vineyard resides on ten pastoral acres atop historic Chestnut Hill in the town of Litchfield, CT.
Opened in 1973, it is Connecticut's first established winery. HBV produces quality white, red and fruit wines.

July 18 - 3pm. Wines of the World - France, Part I. Come immerse yourself in French wines and light cuisine while learning about grape growing, wine making, regulations, etc... applicable to the region. $25/person. Call to reserve your space.
July 31- Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Pairing - France. 10 HB wines each knowledgeably paired with French cheeses and mouth watering chocolates.
1pm or 3pm Saturday $25/person. Call to reserve your space.
August 6th - 6-8pm Live Music. Enjoy wine by the glass, cheese plates, tapas, etc... while being entertained by the music of Bob Semanchik. Wine tastings conclude at 6pm. No reservations required - no admission charged.
Hours:
We are open year round for events and tasting. However, our hours vary per season.
Mon - Sat 11-5pm, Sundays 12-5pm
We will also be open later on weekends depending on demand - so please call first if you plan on visiting after 5pm.
Wine Tasting
HB is the Fun Place to Taste! Come enjoy a tasting in a personality filled setting with educated staff members. Do you know the difference between a Blush and a Rose wine? How about why you decant a wine? Have you tasted Extra Aged Beemster or French Langres cheeses, or know what to pair them with? Have you ever tasted Dark Chocolate w/Cayenne pepper paired with red wine, or know why you would pair the two? Come let us teach you...
-Wine tasting are conducted on an individual basis. So, anytime you arrive you can taste.
-Wine tasting concludes promptly at 4:30pm. However, you are welcome to purchase a bottle, or wine by the glass to enjoy until we close at 5pm.
We will not be conducting wine tasting after 5pm.
